I have a BFA in metalsmithing. Being creative is my first love. My first jewelry creation was around age five. I made a tie bar out of a bobby pin and a glued on rhinestone for my dad. Later, after a family trip to Florida I made earrings out of the tiny shells we collected on the beach. I loved the way those earrings would remind me of my first ocean and that wonderful family vacation.
I find inspiration currently through botanical shapes, colors, textures and Metalsmithing processes. Photo etching, the hydraulic press and patinas are very interesting to me as well as how a piece of jewelry might feel to it's wearer
